This Colorado Maple really has a story. It's the base from a maple in my neighborhood. It challenged me for one year, it went on the lathe to the floor back and forth. It was so out of balance the lathe would move around while turning. Now it's one of my favorite large pieces. It really is stunning on any pedestal or table.
